your request form.

check; these appointments can be made with our Health Care
Assistant. Please book an appointment at reception.
Substance Misuse Management Service
The practice has for over twenty years provided a
service to help substance users. This service is
surgery-based for patients with addiction problems
especially to opiates and any other substance use problems.
This service is provided by the doctors with help from of
the Community Drugs Team. To access these services please
speak to one of the doctors.
We consider this a very important service that we run and we
will always endeavour to help clients whenever possible,
however, in certain circumstances it may be felt that a
client is not suitable for supervision at the surgery. This
decision would be taken by the doctors after discussion with
the Liaison worker. We would continue to provide general
Medical Services to these clients.
Minor Surgery
Dr George Henry performs minor surgery at the practice.
Please speak to any of the doctors who will put you on the
waiting list if it is considered appropriate. You will
usually receive the appointment by post and therefore please
contact the surgery to confirm that you will be attending.
Due to the caseload there is a waiting
list for Minor Surgery.
Diabetic Services
The surgery-based Diabetes Clinic is run by Dr Mather
and the surgery's Nurse Practitioner Jane Wells-Spittle. The
Clinic provides the vast majority of care needed for
patients with all types of diabetes mellitus. This includes
insulin initiation and other types of care that in the past
were provided in hospital-based clinics. The practice is
able to offer this type of service as a result of Dr
Mather's experience working in the Diabetes Centre in
Worcester for 10 years and partly due to the upgraded skills
of Jane Wells-Spittle.
Bookings for this clinic are arranged by
Val Hawkins and any queries should be directed to her.
Antenatal
Our Community Midwife Yvonne Cowling conducts antenatal
clinics at the surgery on Tuesday afternoons.
The surgery provides a 'shared-care' with the hospital for
all antenatal patients. Most antenatal checks will be
carried out at Prospect View by Yvonne or your regular
Doctor. Appointments can be booked in advance through
reception.
Audiometry

significant deficit is found, it is often necessary for a
further assessment to be made at the Audiometry clinic in
Worcester. If you are concerned about your hearing, please
speak to your doctor.

There is a team of Health Visitors for the Elderly based at

directly.
